Health Minister Kwasi Agyemang-Manu Announces

Two cases of the COVID-19 ailment, Coronavirus, have been confirmed in Ghana. The two are the first discovered cases of the sweeping global pandemic in Ghana. Health Minister Kwasi Agyemang-Manu revealed the shocking news at an emergency press briefing called tonight. "Fellow Ghanaians, the Ministry of Health has confirmed two cases of COVID-19. The cases were confirmed on the 12th of March, 2020 and the first cases to be reported in Ghana," Manu said. The two index cases are people returning to Ghana after foreign trips – one to Turkey and one to Norway. Ghana's immediate neighbours Togo, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria had all reported cases, but Ghana had escaped unscathed – until now. It remains to be seen how efficiently the virus can be dealt with in Ghana. What is clear by now is that we're dealing with a pandemic on a scale the human race hasn't had to deal with in a very long time. Source | Summary
