Gh indicated that the ongoing challenge which has attracted incredible images from people's past alongside photos of their current state was sparked by the saga about KNUST students, Samuel Aboagye and Nana Ama.Sammy trended over his emotional reaction over a breakup with his girlfriend, Nana Ama.A video showing Sammy crying after his girlfriend allegedly dumped had him apologetically saying that the "The past is not the present". Following Sammy and Nana Ama's saga is ''the past is not the present" challenge which has rapidly gained prominence online. The challenge is still attracting inspiring images from many Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians alike. The recent photos of the mentally-ill man have erupted massive reactions online. In the collage, the photo on the left showed the unnamed man in his state of mental illness with people flanking him. The photo on the right had him looking all handsome and sporting a cleanly-shaved head known in local parlance as 'sakora'. The man was clothed in an African print and had his eyes closed probably in a prayer mood. Gh previously reported that Derrick Kyei earned a BSc. in Computer Science after years of hard work to attain this feat from the University of Georgia Bulldog. In late December 2019, the Ghanaian graduate posted awe-inspiring images after he completed university following years of rigorous studies. Derrick Kyei is one of thousands of students who had their academic pursuit materialized with the intent of fulfilling their dreams. After completing senior high school, Kyei decided to further his tertiary education at the University of Georgia Bulldog where he studied BSc. in Computer Science.
