‘Artist Managers Or Record Label Owners Should Not Be Part Of VGMA Board’

NKZ Music Boss, Guru says there should be a restructuring of the board of members of Charterhouse, organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in such a way that artiste managers will not be made part. The rapper, despite churning out multiple hits since he burst into the mainstream over a decade ago in the music industry, is yet to win a single award and as far as he's concerned, this is one of the main reasons. He even insisted someone like Richie's participation as a board member is a big problem to many artists including himself and that has to be resolved going forward. "l feel we need to fix this industry by telling the truth, l have a problem which is you can't be an artist manager or own a record label and be part VGMA board and be a member, enodey work" Guru told the host Andy Dosty.
