Six Reasons you Should not Inherit Other People’s Enemies as a Sign of Loyalty

Often, friends like to inherent enemies of their friends as a sign of loyalty. Gh takes a look at 6 reasons people should not inherit enemies of their friends. The mindset that one's enemy should be their friend's enemy is a flawed paradigm which ought to be shattered from its foundation. People with such mindset need a shift in their thought pattern because that idea is beyond flawed. Often, people inherit enemies of their friends as a means of expressing and affirming their loyalty. Gh features reasons why inheriting your friend's enemies is so wrong. Because you're not aware of what transpired in the first place between your best friend and his/her supposed enemy. What if the 'enemy' is right after all?2. Probably your friend telling you to inherit his or her enemy is even guilty because who you are fighting might be innocent. 3: Because even if your friend and the supposed enemy should settle their differences later, the enemy will always see you as an enemy. It's therefore needed that you always hear from both sides before you go kill yourself with fighting innocent people. What you should do instead is, let people prove themselves to you for who they are. You have two choices when it comes to dealing with your friend's enemies: you either bury the hatchet and play nice or carry on and don't let it bother you.4. Just know for a fact that if you go ahead inheriting other people's enemies as a sign of loyalty, you'll end up losing a lot of opportunities. We need to then be careful of taking sides in conflicts between friends or colleagues. Source | Summary

Okraku Mantey calls FDA ban on celebrities advertising alcoholic beverages unfortunate

President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey, has waded into the ongoing debate between some Ghanaian celebrities and the Food and Drugs Authority over a ban placed on the celebrities. The ban has been instituted to stop celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages across the country. In 2015, the FDA banned celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages. The FDA said at the time that the ban was not only in adherence to a World Health Organisation policy but was part of efforts to protect children and prevent them from being lured into alcoholism. Celebrities such as Shatta Wale, Wendy Shay, Tic, Bullet, and Edem among others have tagged the ban as a disadvantage to Ghanaians and advantage to Nigerians. Reacting to the ban during his address on the state of the Creative Arts Industry on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Mr Mantey described the ban as unfortunate. According to him, he believes "How we mould our children from home" determines the character they grow up to embrace, hence cannot fathom the reason for the ban. "My father was a distributor for club beer but how many times do you see me drinking? I am not sure it's about the kids and how they drink, it's about how we mould our children from homes," he told Andy Dosty, host of the show. The CEO of Slip Entertainment explained that watching or listening to an advert was not the only medium through which children could be influenced or not when it comes to drinking. "Where do we see adverts for Akpeteshie [local gin] but its happening big time," Mr Mantey said. He explained that it will be better if "We have control over the minds of our children.” "No one teaches kids how to have sex, we must know how to mould the minds of the children. My daughter tells me about new hits and she gets to know that through her phone. This Radio and TV ban doesn't have any effect," the Creative Arts President noted. Source | Summary
