The Lynx Entertainment signee in an interview with Kwame Bee on 'Di Wu Lane Mu' on Kasapa 102.5Fm asserted that those quality songs with good contents have been relegated to the background and wack songs have taken over the airwaves. Several other Ghanaian musicians have also shared same worry regarding the type of contents churned out on most radio airwaves. "Sometimes bad songs get attention than the good ones. One needs to keep promoting one good song by roaming from radio station to radio station to get the needed attention from the public.” According to Kuami Eugene, songs which are lyrically bankrupt get to the masses faster than the good ones. "When you release one foolish song, everybody is willing to push that one." Kuami Eugene noted. #Source #SummarisedVersion
We’re capable of writing our songs

According to the 'Jennifer Lomotey' hitmaker, the song titled 'Dw?' by Krymi and Mr Drew featuring Sarkodie belongs to him but the boss of Highly Spiritual Music, Kaywa, gave the song to his former label mates. Krymi and Mr. Drew in an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa stated that, they wrote word for word, every lyric in the song. "First of all, I wrote the song myself, Krymi also wrote his part, the song belong to both Krymi and I; and we all wrote our part. But the beat was produced by Kaywa and every beat has its melody, so we use that melody to write the song. So I was surprise when Kurl Songx said the song belongs to him." Mr. Drew said. Krymi also added that, "I can tell you for a fact that, lyrics wise, I feel my lyrics. I don't need to steal anything from Kurl Songs, I don't need anything from anybody. What I do is, I learn and take advice from the seniors in the game even the young ones but I don't steal songs from anyone. So it hurts when after I have taken my time to do something, somebody will come out and say it belongs to him, it makes me feel very bad." Krymi added. He further supported his claim with videos of the studio sessions that led to the birth of the hit single. Mr. Drew pointed out that, in any case, boss of Highly Spiritual Music owns the beat and can give it to any artiste of his choice. Krymi however concluded that, amidst the brouhaha, he is ever ready to collaborate with his former label mate Kurl Songx if management agrees to it. #Source #SummarisedVersion

Krymi and Mr Drew’s ‘Dwɛ’ song belongs to me

Former Highly Spiritual Music act, Kurl Songs, claims his former label mates have taken a song he is still working on in the studio, recorded their version and have released it. According to the 'Jennifer Lomotey' hitmaker, the song titled 'Dw?' by Krymi and Mr Drew featuring Sarkodie belongs to him. Kurl Songx, in an interview with Andy Dosty, on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz, Thursday, said that the boss of Highly Spiritual Music, Kaywa, gave the beat to him to compose the song. The artiste added that after he had a misunderstanding with Kaywa, the producer allowed his signees, Krymi and Mr Drew copy his melody and create a similar tune. I wrote the song and everybody in the studio said it was a hit so we decided to send it to Shatta Wale. He said he was going to do it [then] little issues started coming,'' he alleged. Kurl Songx also accused his former label mates, Krymi and Mr Drew of stealing his melodies and his lyrics. Diana Asamoah where does Drew know Diana Asamoah? Drew didn't write the song so where does he know all these things. Kaywa should come and tell me I am lying,'' he challenged. The relationship between Kaywa and Kurl Songs became sour after the artiste said on Hitz FM in 2019 that the label didn't support him enough. Kaywa expressed disappointment in Kurl Songx and the two parties later ended their working relationship. The Daybreak Hitz team tried numerous times to reach Kaywa but the music producer did not respond to the calls. #Source #SummarisedVersion
