Carlos Ahenkorah’s Actions Was A Total Disgrace To Those Who Look Up To Him, I’d Be Ashamed To Call Him My Father

No matter how trivial we want to make Carlos Ahenkorah's issue of running away with Ballot Papers during the election of the Speaker of Parliament in the early hours of today, some people can't seem to get over it. In a latest development is a reaction from some people in his Tema West Constituency. Speaking to TV3 in an interview, some men and women expressed their disgust following his rather childish actions at the Parliament. " We are tired of Carlos Ahenkorah and his childish acts. I'd be ashamed to call him my father if he was related to me. He started with his silly acts when he was diagnosed of getting covid-19 yet came to his constituency to hug people and he wasn't wearing nose mask too. It's about time he stopped acting selfish". " I was surprised when I saw him run away with the ballot box like a hunter running after a rat. What he did is so shameful and it's about time he faces the consequences of his actions. What message are you passing to the youth looking up to you? What do you want to tell them? I am ashamed of him and I don't think I'll ever vote for him again!" An elderly man stated. Despite being asked to take an action, the authorities seem to be adamant about the please of most Ghanaians. Well, I guess it's no big deal to run away with Ballot Papers during an election of a speaker in parliament in the full glare of the public. Source | Summary

I don’t sing for the money

Unlike other musicians who are doing music for the money and other benefits, Perpetual argues that her path is different and has got nothing to do with the money involved. According to her, singing has always been a part and parcel of her life and she always had the passion of being a musician way before she entered full time ministry. Talking to DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive Show on Happy 98.9 FM, she said, "I didn't pursue my music career for money. It is a natural calling and something I enjoy doing". Rev Pepertual believes she naturally has the calling to do God's work which isn't all about preaching. "Singing is also a way of doing God's work so it's not about the money for me", she emphasised. She went further to say that, "By doing music, God has proven to me that it is His will for me to do this and doing this is as important to him as it is to me". Source | Summary

Facebook and Instagram Ban Him Indefinitely

U.S President Donald John Trump has finally been punished for his tomfoolery by the social media platforms Facebook and Instagram. Chief Executive Officer of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg in a statement has announced that Trump would be off the platform indefinitely for inciting violence amongst his supporters. In case you're not on planet Earth, the U.S Capitol building which houses both chambers of Parliament was stormed on Wednesday, Janaury 6th by pro-Trump protestors. They stormed the Capitol during a joint session of Congress to certify the results of the November elections which elected Joe Biden. The session was prematurely ended as the protestors stormed the building, breaking windows and breaking into the office of some MP's. In the aftermath of the attack, Twitter and Facebook banned Trump for posts he made inciting the attack. Mark Zuckerberg has now made it clear that Trump would remain off his platforms indefinitely, whilst Twitter has allowed him back on the site after deleting his inciteful tweets. Trump at the moment has only 13 more days in office, and there are already reports that he would be banned from these platforms once he leaves office. It appears his own actions has moved that timeline up. Source | Summary
