Nigerian President Buhari and His Chief-of-Staff Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 Allegedly Smuggled Out of the Country Abroad for Medical Treatment

A Nigerian politician of the opposition party has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has been 'smuggled' out of the country. Jackson Ude, who served under President Goodluck Jonathan's government, published an audio on Twitter of a Nigerian lady who claims to have first-hand knowledge of the President being sent outside Nigeria for medical treatment. The lady claims she has a friend whose husband is an air force pilot and was asked to fly the President and his chief of staff out but could not because he's under quarantine. Another pilot was allegedly procured and flew Buhari and his top official out to receive treatment outside the country. It recently emerged that Buhari's chief of staff, Abba Kyari, had contracted the virus. Various reports allege Buhari might have contracted it from Kyari as well but the Presidency has denied it. It now appears, based on this rumour, that Buhari has flown outside Nigeria for medical treatment again, leaving his citizens suffering the same virus to their fate. Source | Summary
