
Former MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffuor, popularly known as Obour, has reportedly clashed with authorities at the Ridge Hospital over the dead body of his father. Obour's father, Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour, passed away on the evening of Friday, March 27, 2020, to the Coronavirus disease. Gh, Nana Boansi who returned from abroad on Thursday, March 19, 2020, fell ill on Sunday, March 22, 2020, and was sent to the Ridge Hospital where he died later. Following his death, Obour is reported to have visited the hospital to have his father's body transferred to a private morgue. Being a case of Coronavirus, the hospital authorities refused to hand over the body to him. It was the hospital's decision that led to a misunderstanding between the former MUSIGA president and the authorities. According to an eyewitness who spoke on Onua FM, Obour and some men arrived at the premises of the Ridge Hospital in a car to carry his father's body. He was told he could not do that without following the procedures and it led to heated exchanges between Obour and the authorities. Though there was a heated argument, the eyewitness stated that it did not degenerate into an exchange of blows or verbal assault.
